H.E Governor Kawira Mwangaza has officially opened a regional eye unit and an optical shop at Meru Teaching and Referral Hospital. The state of the art facilities which have been fully equipped with cutting edge technology and equipment, will promote efficient and affordable access to optical services both for the people of Meru and the region as a whole.
Governor Kawira has expressed gratitude to the Vision Impact Project partners among them; Christian Blind mission International, AIC Health Ministries, Kenya society for the Blind, PEEK and Fred-Hollows foundation.
Afterwards, in the company of various health partners and the county health management team, the governor graced World Sight Day themed “Love Your Eyes” at Ruiri Health Center.
